Home Cinema in a living room?

Have you ever wondered about the idea of converting your living space into a Home Cinema?

Well meet Mr. Murat Cinkilinc. When he visited our showroom, he was concerned as he did not have room for a dedicated home theater.He wanted to know the pros and cons of having a good sound system connected to the living room TV effectively converting it into a Home Cinema.

After our execution Mr Murat is now more than happy with what we were able to achieve.Not only has the movies come to life in his room, but those weekend gettogether just got a whole lot better now.

So lets get into details.

Murat’s living room was a total of 8.5 by 6 meters with a 3 meter ceiling with an open kitchen right next to it.

He did not want a super expensive system and also he wanted the speakers to fill up the space as much as possible.

This is system that we came up with.Pioneer VSX-935 7.2 Channel AV Receiver is powering the Jamo S 809 Floorstanding Speakers, Jamo S 803 Bookshelf Speakers, Jamo S 83 CEN Centre Speaker, and Jamo S 8 ATM Dolby Atmos Height Speakers with the Jamo C 912 SUB 12 Inch Subwoofer.

Jamo S 809 Floorstanding Speakers delivers powerful and balanced cinematic home theatre sound. Featuring three Woofer Drivers, a tweeter and fastening for Dolby Atmos elevation speaker on top.

The S 809 can handle power up to 240 Watts, easily filling large rooms, and takes lesser space for itself.This made it the obvious choice.

Also we made use of the option to add Atmos speakers on top so that we can getaway with making no holes in the beautiful living room ceiling.we installed the

Jamo S 8 ATM Dolby Atmos Height Speakers offers immersive three dimensional home theatre surround sound-reflecting sound from the ceiling with elevated speaker design.

The S 8 ATM features integrated conductive feet to attach to either Jamo S 809, S 807 or S 803 floor-standing speakers, and takes height channel input from them.

Jamo S 83 CEN Centre Speaker fills medium to larger home theatre room with clear movie dialogues and musical vocal. Its premium sound of up to 160 Watts of power is achieved from its robust built and advanced acoustic technology.

Its two woofers and rear-firing slot port give low frequency more depth, and Tweeter with WaveGuide reduces distortion generated in the drive, reproducing only true sound without added noise.

For the surrounds we went with Jamo S 803 Bookshelf Speakers. The S 803 is Dolby Atmos ready with a metal fastener on top for elevate speaker and separate connection input for height channel speaker. With its compact design and front-firing slot port design, it gives you the same pristine sound even when you place it against the wall or between books.

The S 803 handles power up to 160 Watts and features advanced technology like WaveGuide for the tweeter and Aluminised Polyfibre Woofer. The results are impressive clarity and easy reproduction of sound without breakups and distortions.

The C 912 were selected as the Subwoofer.Jamo C 912 SUB 12-Inch Subwoofer is specially designed with front-firing Polyfiber Woofer and 400W Class D amp, the Jamo C 912 Subwoofer perfectly melds premium low-frequency performance with a modern, luxurious design to create gorgeous furniture with exceptional acoustics.

Audio Dimension AD55 The Elevation Speaker Stands were used for the surround speakers.The height adjustable functionality of these speaker stands makes it super convenient in tight corners like we had here.

The Pioneer VSX-935 7.2 Channel AV Receiver Immersive sound capabilities via Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and associated up-mixers. It Features Ultra HD, HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision™ pass through with support for HDCP 2.2., the VSX-934 offers evermore life-like images. You can stream songs from various sources via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth®, DTS Play-Fi, SONOS system, and Apple AirPlay 2. Other highlights include a Powered Zone 2 feature with a dedicated DAC, Personal Preset buttons, and 2 HDMI outputs.

Overall from my conversation with Mr Murat, I came to know that not only are they happy with a home cinema in his living room, they are actually enjoying it. The system fills up the huge space with enough and more sound that no detail is lost in the content.
