KEF Q1 Meta 2-way Closed Box Bookshelf Speakers- Pair are compact yet powerful bookshelf speaker that redefines high-fidelity audio for small spaces. As part of KEF's innovative Q Series, the Q1 Meta offers cutting-edge acoustic technology in a compact, closed-box design that fits perfectly on shelves or cabinets. At the heart of this speaker is KEF’s Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™), which absorbs 99% of unwanted high-frequency distortion to deliver an exceptionally pure and natural sound. The speaker also incorporates KEF’s 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array, ensuring seamless sound dispersion and enhanced audio clarity.
Ideal for music lovers and home cinema enthusiasts alike, the Q1 Meta can be wall-mounted using the optional B2 Wall Bracket or placed on KEF’s SQ1 floor stand for optimal performance. Available in Satin Black, Satin White, and Walnut finishes, the Q1 Meta combines refined aesthetics with high-performance sound. Whether you’re enjoying your favorite music or diving into a movie soundtrack, the Q1 Meta delivers precise, lifelike audio that immerses you in your media.

Revolutionary Sound Absorption with MAT™
The KEF Q1 Meta incorporates Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™), a revolutionary advancement that significantly enhances the clarity and accuracy of sound. MAT™ works by absorbing 99% of unwanted high-frequency distortion, using a complex maze-like structure to act as an acoustic black hole. Each channel within this structure absorbs specific sound frequencies, preventing them from reflecting back into the speaker’s output. This reduces distortion and results in a much purer, more natural sound.
This innovation is particularly beneficial for those who demand high-fidelity audio from their bookshelf speakers. With MAT™, the Q1 Meta is capable of producing crystal-clear highs and detailed midrange frequencies, allowing listeners to hear music and dialogue with exceptional precision. Whether it’s the subtle textures of a classical piece or the intricate sound effects in a film, MAT™ ensures that the Q1 Meta delivers an immersive and distortion-free listening experience, making it a perfect choice for any home audio setup.

Multi-Dimensional Music Experience
The KEF Q1 Meta offers a multi-dimensional music experience that brings your favorite tracks to life. Thanks to the combination of the 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array and Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT™), the Q1 Meta delivers a wide soundstage that envelops the listener. This technology allows the speaker to disperse sound evenly throughout the room, ensuring that every listener experiences the same high-quality audio, regardless of their position.
Whether you’re listening to a symphony, a rock concert, or a carefully curated playlist, the Q1 Meta’s advanced design ensures that all audio elements are delivered with clarity and precision. The closed-box design enhances the speaker’s bass performance, ensuring tight, controlled low frequencies that complement the mids and highs. The Q1 Meta can be placed on a shelf, mounted on a wall, or paired with KEF’s SQ1 floor stand for maximum flexibility, making it an excellent choice for both small spaces and larger rooms. With its ability to create an immersive, multi-dimensional soundscape, the Q1 Meta transforms your listening experience into something truly captivating.

Redesigned Tweeter Motor System
The KEF Q1 Meta features a redesigned tweeter motor system that further enhances its performance by maximizing the transmission of sound energy to the MAT™ absorber. The tweeter’s rear chamber vent has been increased by 250%, allowing more sound to reach the metamaterial absorber. This improvement significantly reduces the acoustic pressure behind the tweeter dome, ensuring that the tweeter operates more linearly and with lower distortion.
This refined design allows the Q1 Meta to deliver clearer, more detailed high frequencies, making it ideal for audiophiles and home theater enthusiasts who prioritize accurate sound reproduction. The speaker’s ability to produce crisp, distortion-free highs is especially noticeable in complex musical compositions or soundtracks, where high-pitched elements often dominate. By reducing distortion and enhancing the clarity of the high frequencies, the Q1 Meta offers a more balanced and immersive sound experience, ensuring that every detail is heard with precision.
